Tough screen not working, possible motherboard issue

I have replaced the lcd/screen on my iPhone 5c as the touch screen wasn't working. However the Screen still doesn't respond. I tried a second screen but still no luck. I am now wondering if the fault could lie with the motherboard and that the motherboard has failed?

I'm hoping this is not the case but any ideas would be greatly received.

Hello it's possible that one of the pins on the lcd or touch cable is bent or missing!

Take a magnifying glass and bright light to thoroughly examine your system board, especially near the touch screen connector to see if there's any bare solder points where it looks like something used to be there.

Did you happen to use tweezers to pop the connectors loose during the screen replacement?

Can't be sure without thorough inspection under microscope. However, your issue is most likely related to IC responsible for your touch. The issue is very common in the newer iPhones, but can still affect older ones depending on impact or water damage. In some cases the actual connector may have issues as well, this should be easily able to be seen with a lit magnifying glass if you don't have a microscope available. Both issues are repairable but may not be worth it for those devices.
