Screen replacement guide that's not a video?

I'm looking for a guide for replacing the screen on this phone, lumia 1020, also called the lumia 909, that's something I can follow at my own pace. I've searched google but I can't stand to watch the videos, they are impossible for me to follow.

So, I'm looking for a text based guide that actually explains the steps that need to be taken so that I can follow them in order and know I'm doing it right.

I need to replace the whole display, even though only the glass is damaged since it looks like the two are fused together with a special machine I don't own. Anyone have a guide they have followed to recommend?

Kode, I'd get the service manual for the Lumia1020 from here It'll show you what you need to know. Hope this helps, good luck.

Hi Kode,

I suggest taking a look a Nokia's Service manual linked HERE (or there ->) http://devdb.ru/data/file/file5245f74f49...

It will show you how to disassemble the phone and how to get it open. It will show you how to reassemble it, too!

TIPS:

Be careful with the ribbon cables under the display and ignore the steps to "remove 2nd camera ground foam", as this shouldn't matter too much. It's basically wasting materials, but if you have replacement camera "grounding foam" then go ahead and replace it!

Make sure to go slow when lifting the left side of the display, as if you go too fast, you may break a few connectors and/or ribbons and you may break your phone.

ALSO: Make sure not to force anything, as you can damage your new parts and possibly any surrounding parts, too.

I wish you good luck and your welcome!
