Switching out my Camera with older iPhone version

I have an iPhone5 with a broken camera (unable to focus correctly) that I would like to switch out with my iPhone 4S camera which works perfectly fine. Is this even possible?

No not even possible ... On the iPhone 5 the focus sometimes sticks give the back of the iPhone a hardish smack right up beside the camera it might unstick it

Hi Sniderreed,

Well to find out if it's possible you should compare the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5... but it also come down to compatibilities.

I have done it with a speaker from an iPhone 4 to an iPhone 4S and it worked, but for a camera I'm not quite sure if you can take it from your iphone 4S and replace it on your iphone 5, but providing that you can fit it (don't forget that the casing of the iPhone 5 is thiner for the depth, bigger in therms of height, but the same on in terms of width) also the chips are not the same, if I'm not making a mistake the iPhone 4S has an A5 and the iPhone 5 has an A7.

Well my guess would be since it is not from iPhone 5 to iPhone 4S, I would have a go at it and still try it. Bear in mind what I have mentioned above in terms of the space in the casing as well as the chip, but if you could get somewhere the specification of the two iPhone 4S and 5 cameras, you might be able to make a decision if worth trying it... I would, if you don't try you won't know!

Maybe another user with more knowledge will come and supplement my post...

Greetings and good luck ;)

Max
