Self-repaired screen, now half of screen is lined and unresponsive?

Hi. I just got my iCracked repair kit yesterday and sat down today to do it. I went through the whole instructions set as well as watch multiple videos. I was very proud of myself, but when I turned my phone on, half of the screen is in stripes. It looks like there's a tiny crack at the top, and cascading from it are multicolored stripes. But there isn't a crack, when the screen is off, it looks impeccable. Can't use half of a phone!

It is most likely a faulty screen, or possibly a damaged flex cable from when you installed it. It's important when you are mounting the new screen that it is not angled more than 90degrees. Any more leads to damaged flex cables resulting in lines through the screen.

Check if you connect the connectors well and make sure they not get loosen when you close the phone. Also check the pins on the connectors on board if okay. And last, try the screen on other iphone 5 motherboard to check if it still be a good screen.
