Gateway Laptop NV50A black screen no key functions?
Tried the remove the battery, hold down start didn't work Gateway NV50a... Need Help bad

I guess the first question would be.... Is it plugged in? Next, I would check the power connection inside and outside to make sure the device is actually getting power. Gateways and Compaqs are known for their power issues. If the power adapter and battery are connected you should see a light indicating it is on or off and if it is the battery it will be flashing amber indicating the battery is bad. After you answer these question we can continue to troubleshoot.

The power light is blue power light comes on, but I get no processor light or wifi light and a black sceen
Does it power up at all or does it stay turned off?

The power cord is working properly, after the battery is charged the amber light turns blue. Have removed the battery, power cord and held down the power button (10 sec, 60 sec etc) as mentioned elsewhere. Still not working. On fixed income cant afford a new laptop and cant afford a repair cost right now Still looking for an answer...
