My touch pad will not click, or work on Gateway NV56r38u?

After a slight spill of all things, pickle juice, my touch pad will not work properly. It is mainly the right and left buttons. I feel if I could just clean the contacts, everything would be as it should. Can anyone tell me how to open up the machine and get to that point.
