I don't know if it's my logic board or left speaker.

My Macbook Air Mid 2011 1.7 GHz is having a sound issue. when I go into sound on system preferences and move the cursor from left to right, the right speaker dominates the left. The left speaker you can hear very little. Then if you go into the hard drive and then Applications and utilities. Audio MIDI Setup/built-in-audio input and I go to configure speaker and I test the left and the right. The right is loud and the left is low but i hear sound. I have done everything from reformat, online apple tech, and I bought a logic board. The logic board I bought is a 1.8GHz and the one in mine is a 1.7GHz. My computer seems to run hot at times and my video will sometimes be choppy. Right now as I type with just internet running my temp is 43C/ fan 1998 RPM. When I run other programs that need the juice it will be 98C/5000 RPM. I have taken it apart and cleaned the computer but did not take off the heatsink until I know if I need to take this step. When I know what part to replace I will give it some new thermal paste. When I put head phones in I can hear very clear right and left. My fan is not loud. My computer is not burning hot and the logic board and other components did not look burned up. I only notice at times video choppiness when watching movies or scrolling up and down on the internet. I don't know if it will be a problem to replace the 1.7 GHz with a 1.8GHz. I would hope that its the speaker. I can save myself $345 and send back the logic board.
