power button funky after iPad2 screen repair
When removing the cracked screen, we accidentally severed a small copper strip just below the camera. We reattached it and can't figure out what that copper strip is for, or whether we damaged something important. It's on top of a small floating plastic insert and doesn't have a wire. Everything on the iPad2 works great after screen replacement, except the power button. When you press it, instead of giving you the "slide to power off" command, the screen simply goes black. It's not really off however; when you press it again, the screen lights right up. Are these two things connected -- the ripped copper strip and the power button? Could not find any diagram or info about this piece, thanks for the help.
