Solución Elegida

Lets try this - Shutdown your laptop completely (so its at room temp). Restart it and don't load or access any apps (disable any that preload). Take a measure with Temperature Gauge is the fan still at full tilt? If it is and stays running lets do a reset. Follow this Apple TN: EFI & SMC firmware updates for Intel-based Macs. Test again did it resolve the problem? If not did you get your system wet as some point? You will need to open the case to inspect things and will likely need to do a cleaning of the dust buildup on the logic board & fan. Let us know what you see first.

Next Test:

Let the system run without any alterations (at rest) with Temperature Gauge window visible so you can see it. Do you see the system starting to get too hot (Temperature Gauge will change the bars to yellow and then red). If you do you know something is running in background. You'll need to load up Activity Monitor to see what process is chewing up the cycles. Sort out the list using % CPU column so the heaviest is on top. Take a screenshot again and post it here.

Next Test:

If that didn't show any problems run your web browser (only) access what you normally do with Temperature Gauge window on the side so you can see it as you're running what action do you see the system starts to get too hot (Temperature Gauge will change the bars to yellow and then red). Then you have something running in your browser that needs fixing (like Adobe Flash) go though what you have added and make sure they are all up to date. Flash does push the system so it would not surprise me if that ramped it up but it should not be getting as high as your system had gotten.

Some new Q's:

What is your storage HD or SSD?

How full is it?

Sorry I gave you the wrong TN follow this one only if the fan is continuing to run Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC). Follow my script and tell us what you encounter (don't forget to post the screenshots)

I followed your instructs and did the SMC Reset too. Here is the screenshot of the TG after 40 mins of usage in which i mostly used Safari only.

It seems that the fan in MBA is the problem maker by which the system is getting heated after from the good ventilation provided.

It's starting to sound like your fan unit needs replacing. Do you hear it running and does it sound like its running hard? Looking at the TG screenshot the temps are within the norm, but the fan is going full tilt! Has someone opened your system and maybe damaged the fan cable?

- de

This actually looks normal, webpages with flash contents are very power intensive. My MC503 idles at 20-40c, but easily shoot up to 80c+ with flash

- de

Yes you're right flash is a CPU hog. But note the fan is at full tilt with the temps within the normal range. There is more going on here than just Flash heating things up.

You need to get a good temp & fan monitoring app. Checkout this App Temperature Gauge Pro. There are others but this one is the one I like the most.

See what it tells you and post the output here for us to see.

Looking at the snap it looks like the CPU Diode max was up near 80c !! And as you can see your fan is going full tilt. So we know the CPU had been running wild (high water mark). So the first Q is when you took this snap was it just after downloading Temperature Gauge Pro and now your web browser was not running?

- de

here is a latest snap after the MBA startup http://s4.postimg.org/tht3kornx/MBC_T_G_...

The heating problem start after 30 minutes of system running and my usage is very minimal as in using browser or playing videos on VLC Player and whenever i feel the heat is excess i close the lit of the MBA wait for 5-10 minutes and start using it again. i have a laptop table with a built-in fan in the table so there is no issue of having a ventilation problem.

My hard disk capacity is 60GB usage is 21GB available is 39GB. I followed the link to update the EFI & SMC firmware and the system says: This Computer does not need this update.

There are several cause of heat buildup:

Clogged heat sink, blocking heat dissipation, or

Stuck process, very high CPU usage, running the system hot, or

Intense but normal use.

For the first scenario, put your laptop in a well ventilated place, if it doesn't work, clean the heat sink.

For the second scenario, try to locate and kill the stuck process, find the cause for the software issue, update the software or avoid triggering the bug again

For the third scenario, some applications are known to be intense, flash player to be an example. Take a break, have a cup of tea.
