Just replaced LCD assembly I have a couple questions

Hi I recently bought a LCD assembly from China the resolution 480x320. It is supposed 960-by-640-pixel resolution at 326 ppi. Is it common to lose resolution on an after market LCD ? Also the battery is draining very fast. Are most cheaper after market lcd screens low in resolution like this?

It is not possible to install parts that are off specs into apple devices, how can you be sure that the LCD is actually 480*320?

I went to a site that test's the screen and it said 480x320. The siite was something like testmylcd.com

That's a misunderstanding, every iPod touch 4 reports this resolution because the browser need this resolution to properly organize the webpage. The actual rendering and display is 960*640, that's how the retina display and the new iOS graphic framework works

It is very common for aftermarket LCDs to not meet OEM specs - that's why it's critical to buy from a reputable supplier such as iFixit or eTech Parts. The poor quality screen may also be the cause of your excessively fast battery drainage.
