Screen shows HP logo screen then goes blank
HP Touchsmart 310-1125y flashes the blue HP logo screen for about a second before the screen goes blank/black. The computer boot into windows 7 because I can hear the chimes through the speakers.
I have been to the HP page and done the F8 and F5 tips to reset the bios, all this does is recycle the boot process and I get the same result.
I was going to put the 310-1125y way but decided to turn it on one more time and and it booted up and I could see everything just as you would expect on a functioning computer. When I shut it down and tried to reboot I was back to the black screen. It does the same thing every time I restart it by unplugging the power cord and pressing the power button for 15 seconds or longer and the plug it in and turn on the power and I get the quick flash of the HP logo screen and then blank.
I have noticed that this seems to be common but I can not find a fix other than sending it in to HP as my posters have done or bite the bullet and part out the good stuff and toss the rest.
I know everything works, it just doesn't work all the time.
Could the video chip have a loose solder point that when it get hot it stops making the connection thus giving me the blank screen?
Es esta una buena pregunta?
Bump- Any one have any ideas about this? Why would it come on sometimes and not the other times?

This might help. Press f10, change power setting in BIOS "auto power on after failure" to stay off. I have picture in my HP 600-1000 (for now) I also recently replaced the GPU and all the thermal paste. HP seems to use very low quality thermal paste imo. Hope this helps.
