Water coming out from the washing machine

Hello!

I have a Whirlpool washing machine for 4 years and for 1 month the water coming from the machine, goes out to the floor. I checked it and it seems it comes from the drawer where you put the powder. I dont normally put a lot of it.

How can I solve it?

Thanks a lot.

Sandra.

Do you have a model number for your washer?

My machine has leaked since I purchased it in Aug, 2019 I have had service here 4 times.

Not fixed!

Frustrated at lack of concern by Whirlpool!

In the meantime brand new matching still leaks on Wash Machine Cycle!

Anyone else have this issue!

I want my money back NOW!

It is very easy to remove the back panel and the top panel.

see video link.

https://youtu.be/LnexFmeJe9s

Then run a light load and observe. My issue was related to the diverter inlet valve leaking at the hose connection. The tension single wire hose clamps used for speed in manufacturing assembly often become weak and I simply replaced it ($0.99) and the other adjacent clamps with thread lock banded hose clamps.

Time required to remove back and top panels - 3 minutes.

Time required to identify leak - 4 minutes.

Time to replace 10 clamps - 10 minutes.

Another 20 minutes to run the machine and confirm leak fixed and then replace panels.

Tools 1/4" socket to remove/reinstall panels.

Pliers, channel lock or vise grips to remove tension clamps.

Slot screwdriver or 1/4" drive socket to install banded clamps.

Drain Pump

If the washer is leaking water the drain pump might have a hole or crack. Or, the bearings might be worn out. Replace the drain pump if it is leaking water, they're not repairable.

Tub Seal and Bearing Kit

If the washer is leaking water the tub seal and bearing kit might need to be replace. This is usually a very involved repair and will require disassembling most of the washer.

Tub Seal Kit

If the washer is leaking water the tub seal might have a tear or rip and is letting water leak past. The tub seal can be replaced. The tub bearing often gets damaged when the seal leaks. consider replacing the tub bearing along with the tub seal. This is usually a very involved repair and will require disassembling most of the washer.

Tub Spin Seal

If the washer is leaking water the tub spin seal might have a tear or rip and is letting water leak past. The tub seal can be replaced. The tub bearing often gets damaged when the seal leaks. consider replacing the tub bearing along with the tub seal. This is usually a very involved repair and will require disassembling most of the washer.

Tub Seal

If the washer is leaking water the tub seal might have a tear or rip and is letting water leak past. The tub seal can be replaced. When the tub seal fails water gets into the tub bearings and usually causes the bearings to go bad also. It is a good idea to replace the tub bearings with the new tub seal. This is usually a very involved repair and will require disassembling most of the washer.

Door Boot Seal

If the washer is leaking water the front door boot seal might have a tear or rip and is letting water leak past. The boot seal can be replaced. This part can tear when the washer is overloaded. This is common repair.

Tub to Pump Hose

If the washer is leaking water the hose from the tub to the pump might be split or torn. Don't try to cut off the bad piece of hose and stretch it to fit the pump, this will put strain on the remainder of the hose and may cause a sudden and complete failure of the hose which will dump potentially hundreds or thousands of gallons of water onto the floor because the next time the washer tries to fill all of the water will end up on the floor and so the washer will never shut off the valve. Any time there is a damaged hose, replace it completely with the OEM part.

Washing Machine Fill Hose

If the washer is leaking water, check the fill hoses on the back of the washer, this is the most common place for water to leak. If the washer still has the original black rubber fill hoses replace them with stainless steel or some other, more durable hose.

Drain Hose

If the washer is leaking water check the drain hose. The most common places for the hose to spring a leak is from the connection to the pump out to the back of the washer. Another common occurrence is when the washer gets pushed too far back against the wall.

The water is leaking from underneath the washer. Would that be the pump?

Water can run down things and it all ends up on the floor. Best thing to do is pull it out and see where it's wet. If you still can't tell use some dishwahering liquid, put if on your finger and rub it around where you think it is coming out. Then run it. Now pull it out and see where the soap bubbles are.

Boyfriend just admitted (HE MIGHT HAVE OVERLOADED IT) AND THE WATER RAN OUT ONTO THE FLOOR!!! MEN cannot do a woman's job!!!!!

ju;ian - men weren't created to do a woman job. The problem has always been with job-gender identification. The problem with boyfriend is that they don't care to take responsibility. Your issue is not with the waning machine, it's with you choice in males. I'm here trying to help you and he's not.

My water is at each foot under the washer. Just alittle bit under each one. What could that be?
