Can't get access to my email account from my email message icon

I have a samsung s-5230,i just connect it with t-mobile, but the phone isn't from the company that i connected with, so after i create my email account (witch is inside main menu... there is a message icon, inside of it appear "email inbox") it suppost to download all your messages but then it appears to me a message that said my account is not responding... i dont know if it is because i didnt put correctly all the information (i call to t-mobile and they gave me what i have to put on incoming server and outgoing server, and stuff like that) or because its a different problem.

maybe u can help me to configure it

Hi,

first of all, try to access the internet with our mobile. You cannot download emails if your mobile isn't connected to the internet.

If you email account has a web login, use your mobile to browse there an login. If that works to this point, it seems that your settings are not correct.

What did they tell you to put on incoming and outgoing a.s.o...without email and login.

but the weird thing is that i can see perfectly other pages like facebook, you tube etc.

in the company they told me to put as incoming server POP3 outgoing IMAP4

If I understand your problem correctly, you may need to change your APN settings. I am not familiar with your particular phone model; but T-Mobile is a GSM provider, and moving a phone to a new GSM provider requires updating the entries for your APN. Try testing your data connection with your phone's browser or something similar to ensure that you don't have a data connection. If you do, this is not the problem your experiencing.

Incoming and outgoing servers for your e-mail are separate settings; to find your APN information, download a manual for a smartphone that T-Mobile sells and it should be in there somewhere.

Went through the same process with my unlocked iPhone :)

Hope this helps!
