How do I fix my iPod Touch 5th Gen from water damage?

So I accidentially dropped my Ipod into the toilet, don't worry the water was clean! It was working for awhile and I set it out in the sun to dry. I was at practice for a couple of hours so I couldn't put it in rice right away. After I came home I put my ipod in rice and put it under a lamp (to get all the water out) but I don't know what else to do. I plugged my ipod in and it won'turn on still. Is it completely water damaged or is there a way I can fix it? I have very important pictures on there that I can't ever get back and it was never stored onto my computer or icloud. Please help.

I also broke my ipod in my backback when a waerbottle was open so i went home and tryed o fix by putting it in rice under a lamp its been two months now and it still won't urn on!Can someone help me fix it?

I also dropped my ipod in the toilet just the other day,(i dried it and started blowing inside it) at first it was working fine then it started to lag alot. I cant use it anymore now. the screen turns on but I cant unlock my screen...I cant even turn it off (you have to slide the power off button but if i slide or even tap the screen it does nothing.) :/ help meeee.....i have lots of pictures on there that i really want to keep.

Well first you're going to have to do some DIY, take the screen off, you might have rust so you're going to have to order new parts, a screen remover, maybe a suction cup (to get the screen completely off) and a lot of luck. I have an iPod 4 after my iPod 5 drowned. My repairs would have cost me around $260. But i forgot to put it in rice or in the sun, so my iPod rusted every where. Or maybe you can go to a professional and have them do it, but I find DIY more fun. Hope this helps, I have done this before so you should be okay. Please don't do it alone, or on charge, I have had electric shocks and 12 volts won't hurt me, I like turtles

Could be a power issue, logic board power issue is difficult to diagnose and repair. If the board cannot be repaired, but the CPU and the flash chip is intact, replacing them onto another board and you should be able to recover data. YOU NEED THE ORIGINAL CPU TO ACCESS DATA IN THE FLASH CHIP, so if the CPU is dead, nobody can save your data even if you dump the entire flash chip content

I have the same problem my brother decided it would be fun to throw my iPod in the pool and when he did my iPod didn't work anymore and I set it in the sun to get the water out but it won't even work and I need answers

So I acted dumb I was so excited about my case I got. I thought it was waterproof because in the box it's a waterproof so I put it in water for three seconds and I put pick it right back out. While music was playing, then the music started getting quieter intill it stopped working. I don't know what happened
