Replaced LCD and glass but the phone wont turn on.

After replacing the shattered glass and the cracked LCD screen, the iPhone had turned on with a white screen. I then proceeded to attempt the restore with itune, but after trying to set up the system recovery mode on the phone the phone does not turn on anymore. when plugged in the computer recognizes the phones memory but there is not activity on the screen.

IT could also be that the #1 LCD cable isn't plugged into the connector properly, this is the most common assembly fault so check that before you panic :)

You probably cut or ripped your display (LCD) panel cable. To remedy this problem you would have to get a new display (iFixit Part No. IF137-001-1). You can make sure that the device actually works by turning the vibrator switch on and off and if you feel any vibration, then the display is the problem, not the phone itself.

I agree with Tetsuo, i just replaced an LCD and the #1 cable just would not hold for anything. So i ended up cutting a very thin slice of a mechanical pencil eraser and placing that on top of the #1 cable. Then i closed the phone back up on top of the eraser and that provided just enough pressure to hold that cable in place. A couple shake tests proved that this was a great makeshift solution. Crafty eh? :D

Ok when u took apart the LCD screen, and put a new one, your number 1 cable came loose. just take it apart and push that number one cable and keep your finger on while closing it. Use a very thin slice of an eraser and put it on the cable. :D
