Volume Bottons not pressing correctly

I've followed the tutorial for changing the 4S volume bottons.

So now I've got them screwed to the phone. The touch doesn't feel sd hard as it used to be. Now is so soft.

What can I do?

Make sure you've added spacers onto the volume button itself (small circles on the button)
