Preguntas 759 Ver todo

I have removed my screen - use it as a media center...

However.. I am unable to activate the DVI out connector as before...

The computer works perfectly, but no video is coming out of it

I can connect via Remote Desktop and use the computer

I followed every step of the iFixit guide to remove the LCD and had no problems

Any ideas?

Is the monitor you're connecting it to using DVI?

Hi....

just to clarify....

1. the screen is broken, I decide to remove it

2. I have used this computer before, connected exactly like it is connected now to the same TV

3. I don't see my TV as a monitor when I open Displays in System Prefs.

4. When I connect my other MBP to the TV it works, no problem

5. After I removed the display, this has not worked

6. I will not be using the display, it is broken and has been removed!

Well ok... I have managed to get the DVI connector to work... I did absolutely nothing

But now the fans are running at full speed... all 3 heat sensors are connected and I have reset the SMC and PRAM/NVRAM

I have a similar setup, cause my MBPs screen is broken, so i hooked up an external monitor via DVI. Put the screen back on (easy), connect your external display, TV, whatever and a usb or bluetooth keyboard.

Configure your other display as main using system settings -> monitors. Switch the computer on an shut the lid. The system will start and and either go into standby (press any key, hence the external keyboard) or power on normal and use the secondary display.

On my MacBook it only works right if the screen is closed. So have you checked to see if the latch is acting closed? Also it has to be plugged in to work on the monitor part.
