LCD issue after water damage repair

This is my story/issue, im kind of at a loss. So on the 6th my 4s got wet in the river while fishing. I shut it off right away and dried it out the best i could. On the 7th i put it in a bag of silica beads and let it sit. on the 9th i took it out and tried it out it worked fine for a few minutes then got a temp error and wouldnt stay off, eventually like 15 minutes the battery finished draining out. it has sat in the bag untill tonight the 11th. i took it apart and cleaned the logic board. i did a full dis-assembly because there was a water spot behind the LCD. I did pull the back of the LCD up gently from the bottom ( opposite side of the wires and looked for moisture there was none so i put it back down. i assembled the phone and plugged it in only to find out im worse then before. When i pushed the power button all i could see is blue/red lines on the lcd and the went away. there were not alot of them and they were faint. It seems as if it supposed to be displaying the phone is charging bar but instead i have some lines. Does it sound like its a lcd issue or could it be something else im at a loss here. thanks for the help in advance.

element1909, I suggest that you no longer try to turn it on or try to charge it. Disassemble it using this guide and properly clean it. Use this guide to clean it. It was written for a 3G but all the points are still valid for your phone as well. Always check your board for any missing, burned or otherwise damaged looking components. After that replace the battery, reassemble your phone and re-evaluate for any problems. If you do not properly clean your phone now, it is very likely that you will run into some corrosion failure later on. If you still have the lines after that, you may need to replace your display assembly, it may have shorted out Hope this helps, good luck.

When I dissasembled the phone I had cleaned it as well. There was not that much corrosion at all but I did brush all the connectors and the logic board. I have yet to replace the battery I will go ahead and order that and give it a try. Since I cleaned it I'm kind of thinking that the LCD is shot, is that back plate of the LCD ment to lift up? I'm thinking chances are the logic board is ok after the cleaning and I just made a mistake and broke that LCD.

Yes, it is possible, but make sure that the LCD connector is clean and properly seated.
