Power door locks have failed on 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan sxt?
where is the fuse for the power door locks and how is it identified in the fuse diagram?

Ted Jellison, disconnect the battery cable (keep it off for about an hour) and pull the IOD (BCM) fuse to reset the system. See if this will fix the door locks, at least for some time. The IOD fuse is on the left side of the fuse box under the hood, it is a 15 AMP fuse.

I have used this method several times with very good results. However, I have never disconnected the battery; just pulling the fuse for a few moments worked just fine.
Thank you so much for this information. I called Chrysler for the authorization for this re-programming. They had no information about this and did not re-authorize either for a dealer to do this to my dodge van.

I strongly suggest to disconnect the battery before removing any fuses or relays. My husband didn't disconnect the battery before taking out a relay and he fried my whole computer in the van. Would have costed 2700$ to fix. So I just bought another van.
Not sure how your hubby did it but if you take out the fuse while the engine is off lol you aint going to fry anything and also if you do fry anything you would be foolish to pay for a new board lol scrap yards and 30$ voila problem solve lol amatures lol ;)
I just removed the IOD fuze in my 2005 Grand Caravan SE and left it out for about a minute then replaced it. The BCM reset and the locks started working again…thanks! BTW…in my vehicle, the IOD fuze is a 20 amp fuze.

If you want to fix if permently, clean the ground wire G101, G300 and G301. Reflashing BCM is a waste of money.

I'm having trouble with just the sliding doors locks not working. The front locks work fine. Tried pulling the IOD fuse for an hour and then I tried disconnecting the battery for an hour. No success.
Just bought a used 2005 dodge caravan and it doesn’t take anymore than few hours besfore it stops working again each time I take IOD fuse off

This is a known issue for the 05's and it is caused by a flaw in the BCM software. Chrysler released some updated software so have the BCM re-programmed at your dealer to correct this issue.

how much will that cost ! 7000$ the reprogram or is free ( i dont pay for updates for my pc lol now if they made a car that need updates every blue moon why should i pay for that what a stupid money grabber

I did this and they will only unlock. Any ideas why they only unlock but will not lock?

This is a known issue ONLY in the 05' Caravan, Grand Caravan, and Voyager. Not the Town and Country. I can confirm this issue is a BCM problem and the BCM has to be reprogrammed by Dodge. DO NOT buy or believe the internet that you can do this yourself with a dongle you plug into the OBD port on the underside of the dash. At best it won't work and you'll be out the money you spent for the "miracle fix". At worst you could "brick" your BCM or ECM or both. The downside to this is that yes it was a recall item, the service department will charge you a diagnostic fee of $85-$125 an hour to find out what you already know. Good Luck!

Sorry forgot to add the "fix". If it happens, just unplug the positive battery connector for about 5-10 minutes. It resets the ECM and the problem goes away temporarily. It happens to me about three times a year or so. The downside-having to reset all my favorite radio stations and set the clock...LOL!
