No longer charges, whether on or off

My Logitech H800 wireless headset used to charge when on and in use, or when off and not in use, but now does neither. I have tried using USB from computer, from wall, changing different USB cables, everything I can think of. Where can I get a replacement battery pack for the Logitech H800 wireless headset?

I think you'll Be fine. Just like any repair, take your time and always inspect it first before disassembling :-) If you need help, ifixit answers will be here

replaced battery successfully, but headphones still did not charge ... ended up calling in to claim warranty and get a replacement, their customer service is quite good.

The problem most likely is not the battery but the connection between the micro USB and the headset. The micro USB's miniature connectors are probably broken off. That happened to mine. I had to take the headset apart and solder the connecting pin back. You will need a magnifying glass to see it. It is very tiny...

going to assume you cant solder across those pins and have to do each one.

My USB port broke completely. Have to replace it. What type of micro-USB port is the correct replacement part? 5pin type B???

- de

could you give a really zoomed in picture of what the repaired micro USB socket's connections should look like? thanks

I ordered the parts at amazon .. as soon as they are here, the electronics-workshop guys at my workplace will do the soldering. I'm so exited .. You will get your photo, but it may take 2-3 weeks. The socket has 5 pins at its backside .. you should see those. The are SMD-soldered, so don't expect any big conections ..

I got the USB-port, the workshop did the soldering. I'm sorry I cannot deliver the Photo, I don't have any camera with a macro objective for THAT small parts. Long story short: It's possible to repair/replace the USB-port but you have to have a lot of practice and/or a lot of knowlegde about soldering. Even the guys at the electronics workshop at the university were waiting for the one single colleague thats experienced in SMD-soldering.

Mabel Xu, depends on where you are located. Part number for the battery is 993-000565 and it is available at places like this as well as right here. Hope this helps, good luck.
