What is the difference between the batteries?
Is there a difference between the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS battery?
I think they look the same.

Hi, They have different part numbers and the battery for the G specifically states it will not work in the GS so I would say they are not the same. Ralph
G battery is IF 137-002-1
GS battery is IF 142-005-1

they are the same voltage and same cofiguration.
They sell the battery on the market one battery works in both.
