iPhone 3GS's Battery, Wifi, Bluetooth and Home Button problem!

Ok! So It was week's back when i ordered a battery for 3GS with a home button flex cable. So the day i received it i teared down and changed the flex. First problem was i couldn't put the vibrate switch back to it's original place. Then after completing the whole repair. I tested my 3GS and well it was not charging (Not new for the battery repair) then i tried draining my battery, after a successful drain i tested with the wall mounted charger and it was a relief when i saw the apple logo. So later it came out as it was not charging but running directly on the electricity it was cool at first but not now. So after that i didn't do anything but now the Wifi and Bluetooth module does not work i think. Because in Settings, Wifi Toggle says "No Wifi" and same in the Bluetooth option too. Also now my home button seems to not working properly. Should i replace it too?

What to do?

Please help me?

Thanks in advance.

You say in the first sentence you replaced the home button flex cable....But then you say the mute switch wouldnt go back in. These are two different cables. Do you mean the cable that runs the power button, Headphone jack, and vol and mute buttons? That one can be a chore to do as it has many screws and folds into all sorts of angles getting it in there correctly.

Now, the home button and charging and signal issues may all be the same thing? The charge dock at the bottom runs the Cellular antenna, the charged port (obviously), and the home button makes contact with it to get the home button signal to the motherboard. All of this is run through one connector. Its on the bottom left of the board and runs right off of the dock connector itself. I would deff check and make sure that is plugged in correctly and none of the pins or contacts on the connector or the board are damaged.

Also, when you pop the screen assembly up, you can quickly and easily check the two pins for the home button on the bottom of the screen assembly. Make sure they arent bent out or broken. Its common to bend or break those if you dont notice they are there to begin with. You should be able to see right on top of the dock the two little golden pads where those two pins make contact. Make sure they line up.

Hope this helps. Let us know if it starts working or not. It is possible you have a defective battery and that may be why its not charging also.
