Are there any more types of drive (or companies) that work at 3gb/second (other than the mercury Electra) on the uni body? if there are any more can you tell me about the drives from different companies that are compatible with the unibody? or can I use any ssd that runs at 3gb/second?

I'm sure there are. How about SanDisk as a start.
The best thing is to research out the different vendors your thinking about web sites and talk with their sales/support people. Tell them the model of your system and ask the most important Q have they tested it on your system (or similar model).
