My MacBook Pro kept freezing with the spinning wheel, I force shut down my computer and once I tried to turn it back on it would only go to where the logo was shown. I think ran the instillation disk and received the error 4HDD/11/40000000:SATA(0,0). What does this mean and how could I fix it

Sounds like your hard drive has failed. Hopefully you are using an external backup with Time Machine. If not it's time to get one if your data is important to you. It's probably time to replace the drive. But first lets see if it can be repaired. Boot up from your system installation disk (hold down the "C" key till the Apple logo appears. Go to the second screen pull down menu to Utilities > Disk Utility and try to repair the drive. Next repair the permissions.

I have this error as well but after running the Apple Diagnostics Test. The OS still runs and I have no boot issues. I have also done the repair you recommend but the error still appears when running the diagnostic test. What do you recommend? Do you think a reinstallation of the os would help? I was wondering if bootcamp could be the culprit. Thanks in advance
