Can't find a part that I need.

I refurb ipods, ipads and iphones.. I need a small metallic retaining bracket for the ipod touch gen4. There is a on/off-volume flex cable, and the on/off micro-button is actually taped/glued to a small metal bracket before it is bolted into place on the main back case assy.

I need half a dozen of these. I inherited a few broken ipods from someone, and they lost a lot of parts. I have ALL the other parts needed except this small piece of metal. Without it, the ipod won't turn on.. any help, suggestions, etc?

Willing to pay for these items plus the postage.

even at this price, it is still better than tossing a few ipods because of one stupid piece of metal that you gotta have for the switch to work.. thanks for the info though..

There is already a post addressing this issue, posted here: Power button bracket broken.. Unfortunately, nobody has been able to find one. Given the age of the post and new parts always coming out I decided to do some research of my own. I have not yet been able to find one. I would suggest keeping an eye on eBay and Craigslist for a broken iPod that you can scoop up REALLY cheap. Given the fact that you need at least six of these parts, that's not the most feasible option. I too refurbish iPods for people, luckily I have not yet run into this problem. If you need any parts that you cannot find on eBay, check out this fix. http://www.unionrepair.com/ipod/ipod-tou... They currently have 56 parts for the 4th generation iPod touch.
