How to power on without power button on MacBook air late 2010?

I need to know how to jumpstart logic board power-on pads using a flat screw driver. I have the manual to isolate the problem but I don´t know where to put the screw driver.

Thank you

Solución Elegida

Open the unit's back pane, locate the keyboard ribbon cable attached to the logic board, pin point the second pin from the left and 6th from the right and short them with a cable or crossing slim-line screwdriver. It would start up your Air.

It's a little hard to see in this image, but they're the two smaller pads on the bottom of the cluster. This solution worked like a charm for me. Thanks

Hi, I have a Macbook Air 11" 2011, i found on a forum a safer way. Can't recall wich, but if you disconnect the battery cable to logic board wait a few seconds, reconnect, close your macbook back up, and then plug in your power cord it will reboot by itself. I just have to leave my macbook on all the time, but i guess it beats paying $200 for a new keyboard just because the power button went out.
