Most of the time the battery will last the whole day, but sometimes I will fully charge it and the phone will not turn just a couple hours later, so I plug it in until it finally comes on. Could it be the battery or possibly something else?

Battery's tend to die off slowly with daily consistency, If I were you I would look into Battery killing Apps or something else being on when you have shortened Battery cycles, if you keep having this problem then I would replace the Battery, good luck, If this Answer is helpful please remember to return and mark it Accepted.
