iPod touch screen is white after replacing lcd

Hi I was replacing the lcd in my itouch and the lcd is white i can still slide to unlock and hear the sounds and everything. When i replaced the lcd i had to leave my itouch on because the power button had gone bad so i dont know if that could cause anything to go bad. Please help im going to order a new lcd and see what will happen. thanks
