Ronson Lighter Fluid is the best solvent for pressure sensitive adhesives.

Totally non-destructive! I use it to remove candle wax dripped on the finest antique furniture.

Cleans mechanical watch movements.

give it time to soften adhesive then wipe with cloth or Q-Tip.

Can't recommend it enough!
