@vanesagascon since you already checked your camera with different and lens combination by attaching a different lens to this camera. sInce you still get the "Please check the status of a lens." message it is most likely a lens issue. Yes, even so you tried a different one but of the same make/model it is still possibly an issues with the lens.
One more thing you do want to do and that is to clean the contacts on the camera and the lens. Don't push on the lens release button when mounting the lens. If that still doesn't work then it is the lenses. Obviously a issue with the communication from the lens to the camera which would lead me to believe that this is a wiring issue, possibly a torn cable inside the two identical lenses. Not an uncommon error.
