Left clicker button popped up

The left clicker button on my MX Master 3S popped up today. The front of the clicker is pointing up, while the back of the button remains secured in place. When I try to push the button down and pop it back into place, it appears there is an item in the way. I could press harder but I don't want to break it. Any advice?
