Hi Rafael,

The thing is, a battery isn't just a battery; it includes some electronic circuits as well that have temperature and voltage sensors and allow the motherboard to read those sensors. I'm guessing on your replacement battery the BMS, or Battery Management System, was either incorrectly or incompletely implemented, meaning the aftermarket part doesn't work exactly the same as the original, and thus the problems you're seeing.

At this point you've got three choices.

# Live with it as is. No extra cost or effort involved.
# Transfer the BMS from your original battery to the replacement. This will allow your new battery to operate the same as the old one did, but it will carry over the old battery's charge history and thus the battery reporting will be incorrect unless you can find a way to reset it. This involves disassembling the BMS, cutting it off the old battery and spot welding it onto the new cells.
# Return the battery you got and shop around for a different brand or possibly an OEM replacement.
