Camera's shutter does not close when taking a picture

Texto:

Camera is actually Canon Powershot SX430 IS but could not find it listed in the site.
-Usually whenever I take a picture, the camera would produce a snap sound which I thought would be the camera's shutter. However, recently the camera would not close the shutter when taking pictures as there is no 'snap' sound produce after pressing the shutter button, causing the pictures would appear overexposed on the camera. Everything on the exterior of the camera seems fine. Could the shutter be jammed?
