It’s been a while since this question but in case any other people recently get the same problem here’s what I did to fix it:
# Go to system settings
# Go to “system” and make sure everything has the latest updates.
# Go to “Controllers and sensors” and press “update controllers”
# After it’s done reset the non responding controller by pressing the SYNC button once and then pressing another button to turn it on.
After this it should be working and if not try to check if maybe the controllers feel sticky or stuck when pressing them, you might have to clean them. If none of that works it’s probably best to get a new one.
