Hi Bryn,
Have you tried connecting it to an external monitor or TV?
If that works then loose cable to screen or defective screen.
That model is from 2011. Remove the CMOS again but this time replace it as it is probably not holding it charge.
-When you do get it going agian, this time, update the BIOS. Should be v1.80.

+It can be updated from Windows or use Rufus v3.11 to make a bootable USB flash drive from the “iso” file.
