I tried using the 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive but it was a poor choice. It adhered very strongly to the painted metal surfaces of my Nikon F5 but it did not adhere strongly to the rubber grip part. I prepared the surfaces, applied the adhesive correctly, waited and then brought and held the surfaces together. At first I though it was fine but very soon I could see that it was not sticking well, and eventually I was able to easily peel the rubber grip away, leaving all the (difficult to remove) adhesive stuck to the camera body (which then took hours of painstaking removal with q-tips, toothpicks some Xylene and a bottle of GooGone.
