I don’t think you’ll be needing to open the console for this one. It sounds like a bad hard drive. To get into safe mode while the PS4 is turned off you press and hold the power button you’ll hear the first beep straight away, keep holding until you hear the second beep. Then you can release the power button the console should auto reboot itself into safe mode. If you have already exhausted all the options in safe mode with the full PS4 initialization firmware file downloaded into the USB then it’s going to be a bad hard drive. Software update can fail with error code if the blu-ray drive or bluetooth chip are not working. As long as you can eject and insert discs into the PS4 the blu-ray drive should still be good.
