original activation code not excepted

The tablet I just purchased is not showing it was purchased via the website and my activation code is invalid.  I went back to the store and they would not refund my monies.  Customer Service Supervisor kept stating my code was on my reciept which I had with me and refused to watch me input it in the device and it not work!!!!!!!!  EXTREMLY FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!! PLEASE HELP ME
