One day out of the blue, my phone said my SIM card was not detected. I rebooted and still nothing. Then I went to my provider to get a new SIM card to make sure that wasn't the issue. Still nothing. Called LG and they said they could fix it for 70 bucks, but everything would be formatted such as my unlock and my root.

Called LG and they said they could fix it for 70 bucks, but everything would be formatted such as my unlock and my root. I did buy it unlocked and unrooted from the store, so I'm afraid if I sent it off, I would have more issues such as losing my unlock if they did format it.
So I took it to a phone repair shop and the guy there said it's not the SIM card reader itself cause the prongs are connected. He was also pretty hesitant to work on it cause it might be pricy and suggested I take the fix from LG for 70 bucks.
I'd like to do it myself if it's a relatively easy fix. If not, I'll have to send it off cause I honestly have no clue anymore.
