Replacing either the battery or the charging port will require soldering as they are both soldered to the board . So with that said before replacing either one you may want to just disconnect the battery and reconnect it . This is a common problem with tablets and an easy fix (not so much with this tablet). So crack [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PqV3kebX_Q|open the tablet]andtablet] and desolder the two connections from the motherboard then resolder. Once done try to reboot. If this gives no joy then replace the battery and the charge port while you have your soldering iron out . Hope this helps
