Hi Bob,
I'm sorry about your touch screen not working. Fortunately, there are a couple of things you can do to fix it.
Restarting your device is always a good place to start, but considering this was posted 10 months ago I'm assuming that has been tried already. If the problem still persists, you can perform a soft reset by holding the power button for ten seconds, at which point your device will power down. When you turn it back on, it will have completed a soft reset, which is good for clearing minor software glitches and freezes (which may be why your screen wasn't responding).
If your screen's unresponsiveness is a hardware problem, where the touch-screen itself is actually broken, you can purchase a new screen and replace it in about 30-45 minutes or so. The web page for your device says that it is being developed and added to now, so you can expect that a guide for replacing the screen will be coming out some time in the next week or so. The guides are normally very comprehensive and easy to follow, with pictures included!
I hope this helps, and good luck replacing your screen if it is indeed broken!
Best,
Aaron
