First you need to determine if the power brick is good. If you have a multimeter you can set it to read 1 to 100 VDC and plug the Computers power brick. Take one of the computer leads and put it in the center of the plug that goes into the computer. Put the other lead to the outside of the plug of the plug that goes into the computer. the multimeter should read what the power brick writing says is the output Voltage DC. Many Computer power bricks will read anywhere between 12VDC up to 48VDC depending on the Laptops Power consumption. IF the Power Adapter AKA: Power Brick has the correct Voltage Output then the next thing is to remove the battery frrom the Laptop and plug in the Power and then turn on the Laptop without the battery attached. Does it power on? If it does and then your battery is the suspected bad part. If the Laptop doesn't power up with a good power adapter then the Laptop computer's power circuits are bad.
