Trying IPA now, also have tried acetone but it murders the polarizer resulting in a pretty but useless sheet of glass.
 
I've had some success reattaching Z axis taped flex as well, this is feasible but incredibly finicky and only worthwhile if you have lots of faulty screens spare with this problem.
 
A useful tip here is to get the chibitronics kit as it has the correct kind of tape, there is a preferred axis but once stuck and heat treated it should be as good as the "correct" sort.
 
I've also used this with good results to extend flex cables before as long as the repair is then encased in silicone or something similar so it can't bend nor skew.

Its actually an OLED on the Note 4, also have found that some of the newer ones are plastic not glass.
Pretty sure that these are only used on the curved units though.
