I was taking in the middle of taking pictures with my Nikon Coolpix S6300 and when I went to turn the camera off, I could not. The lens will not retrack. I got no error messages. The battery was charged last week so it should be OK. I tried to charge the battery but got no response. The camera seems to be "dead".
I tried to press a few buttons but nothing happens. I also seem to hear a very soft humming sound from the camera. Don't know if that is normal or not.
