I usually see this happen when the phone screen has been replaced or removed and the adhesive that goes on the edges didn't stick or was not placed at all. . if that has not been the case and this happened with no damage to the phone then you are covered under the manufacture warranty.  To fix this issue would require to remove the display from the frame to replace/add adhesive.
