iPod Dead, battery tests at 3.8 v

60 gb iPOD. totally dead, no reset ability, nothing happens when connected to the ipod connector.

I checked the voltage for the battery at 3.8 volts at the ribbon end then tested it on the logic board at the connect site and it's 3.8 volts.

Any other things to check?  Thanks
