You will need to replace the cable. The good news is that replacement home button flex cables are readily available, both here on iFixIt and on other online retailers, and installation is fairly straight forward: [product|IF124-013] The bad news is that you will never regain TouchID functionality. The logic board will only recognize the original home button/TouchID cable for that feature. There is no way around this. In the mean time while you wait for a replacement part, activate the Assistive Touch feature: http://snapguide.com/guides/activate-assistive-touch-on-your-iphone/ That guide is a little dated (shows iOS 6), but the steps are the same as in iOS 7. This will at least give you home button functionality until you can get a replacement.
