That screen is definitely fixable, and you can do it yourself!  It sounds like the adhesive may have come loose, but you can use our guides to try and fix it yourself.  You can find that guide [guide|11761|here].

The one thing that you may also want to consider is that the warranty should still cover that device, and Apple may replace it for you.
