iPhone 4: My iPhone 4 does not turn on or charge.

My iphone 4 does not charge or turn on and is not recognised by iTunes or a computer. I have tried the hold home button and the lock button for 30 secs - 1 minute but still nothing. I switched the battery with my girl friend's battery and her iphone worked yet mine did not even with her battery. I don't know what else to do, this is really frustrating as I have a lot of content on my iPhone not backed up. I'm really desperate, can anybody help...

iPhone 4S: No audio during video playback

I have a problem with my iPhone 4s, there is no audio when playing recorded videos or via the internet, all other sound functions are fully working including voice calls on loudspeaker. Any help diagnosing the problem will be appreciated.

iPhone 5: How to replace/desolder iPhone 5 SIM card reader?

Hello,

My iPhone 5 always seems to say "No SIM" even when inserting several SIM cards and cleaning the tray and internals. I strongly believe this is a SIM card reader fault, hence please may I ask how I would do about de-soldering and soldering on a new SIM card reader on the iPhone 5?

I looked at several resources online and they have given me a general idea since there aren't many guides online, hence could I please ask you guys for more specifics on how-to? I apologise for the bother.

iPhone 6: Siri doesn't work after screen replacement?

So after replacing the cracked screen on my iPhone 6, Siri will no longer hear me. She beeps indicating that it is okay to speak then when you talk, it doesn't pick up any audio. Both my speaker phone and normal mic for phone calls is working properly. Any ideas?

iPhone 5s: iPhone 5s randomly turns off/shut down.

Hi.

I have an iPhone 5s that keeps shutting down randomly, several times a day.

I have tried 2 new different batteries. But same problem.

When plugged in charger it starts again with a lot of remaining battery.

When replaced battery i did the battery calibration.

Draining the phone to 0 %, charge to 100 % and force restart.

Any ideas what this is.

I replaced the battery in the first place because i started have the problem with it shutting down a 30-40 % power.

Is this a software issue??

my iphone se is not charging and it stays stuck at 1% battery with the charger pluged.

when i remove the charger it stays on for 20 seconds, but it's moving verry verry slow, it s like the battery not giving enough power.. after the phone shuts off, is trying to turn on by himself, apearing the apple logo and disapearing until probably drains all the remaining battery..

when i plug the charge, the apple logo apears and disapears couple of times and after 2-3 minutes the operating system starts normaly with the 1% battery(probably the battery is charging a little bit).

there are times when the phone starts with 100% battery but when i remove the charger, the same problem, it s shuting down after 20 seconds

the battery is new, but it s an aftermarket.. could it be something else beside the battery?

iPhone 6s: Replacement Screen Touch Not Working After Upgrading to iOS11

Wanted to share my experience with a recent iPhone 6s screen repair. So after replacing a screen on an iPhone 6s it worked flawlessly on iOS 10.3.3. Since upgrading to iOS 11 touch no longer works, the screen functions and so do all the buttons but touch no longer works. After multiple attempts to reach out to Apple for an answer on this they blatantly refused to help, even hung up on us, due to it having a 3rd party replacement screen. This seems to be a ridiculous answer to me, thats like an auto manufacturer disabling your car because you put an aftermarket part on it. The function and quality of the part is the same. After multiple attempts to get Apple to help to no avail, out of the blue we were contacted by an Apple software engineer who was very interested in our problem and confirmed that this is an issue in iOS 11 and told us that a fix may be implemented in the next subversion iOS release. In the meantime we had to roll the device back to iOS 10.3.3. This is unacceptable to me that Apple refuses to acknowledge or assist users affected by something that was clearly not present in iOS 10.3.3. ifixit has been extremely helpful during this process and has offered us a replacement screen to see if this fixes the issue. Will be reporting back once we try it. In the meantime thanks ifixit for all the support!

iPhone 4: SIM Tray Stuck, lever not working, paperclip can't pull it out

Hi all,

I am having extreme difficulty freeing the SIM card from my iPhone 4. Bent the Apple SIM Tool in the process. Opened up the back and found that the lever has been dislodged (an empty hole where the pivot is supposed to be at).

Tried pulling it out with a makeshift paperclip hook but it hasn't budged even after applying enough force to cut my fingers off.

I'm comfortable with disassembling the %#*@ thing but the logic board cannot be removed with the SIM tray in place. Seems like a catch 22. Any advice please, guys?

iPhone XR: Why am I having touch issues after screen replacement?

I have replaced 2 separate iPhone XR screens lately. Both repairs I’ve followed very well instructions and done everything by the book. Both devices have started acting up after repair. My biggest issue is the touch screen not responding, ghost touch, clicking when nobody’s touching it. I’ve tried putting other screens on it and still happens. What could be the cause? iPhone X: How to tell iPhone X apart from XS?

Just wanting to ask if anyone knows how to tell the physical difference between the iPhone X and the XS? I have a repair business and as far as I can tell they look exactly the same from the outside. I know that you can look in settings under settings, general and then about but that doesn't help if the phone isn't functional. Is there an easy way to determine which model it is by looking at the phone from the outside?

Hello, after the ios11 i have huge problems with my iphone 5s. Before iOS11, my phone was usable for at least 12h. I was charging it every night. After the update, I've got many issues with the phone and after 2-3 weeks it was able to hold max 1-2 hours at idle on battery. I've checked the battery life and it was at 65%. So I bought brand new original battery, replaced it and now it hold up for like 6-7 hours at idle. I've tried to reset, to update but no success. I'm using original charger from HTC and ANKER cable, and I checked it and it's charging with 0.9 - 1 Amp. Is there anything I can do to fix phone. Could this be hardware or software problem?

iPhone 6: screen messed up after battery replacement?

I just replaced the battery on my iphone 6. did it while following a video... everything seemed okay. I removed the screen when I replaced the battery to avoid messing it up from what the DIYers had told me that would be best, so I took the screen off thinking that I'd avoid messing the screen up but now the screen is totally &&^&@@... its got lines running all through the screen and nothing is legible, and the touch doesn't respond. (i'm assuming it doesn't respond bc i can't see any apps etc, but touching the screen did nothing.)

What did/ could I have done to mess it up and is it something i can fix on my own or did I just waste money replacing a battery myself just to &&^& my phone up and end up paying for a repair anyway...

Any advice will help!

iPhone 1st Generation: iPhone fell down and does not switch on, even connected to PC

iPhone fell down from 1 meter height flat on ceramic floor and switched off. Glass is not broken. It does not switch on, and when connected to PC - there are no signs on the screen. What is the possible failed part and if there is anything I can try to fix myself? Thanks in advance.

iPhone 6 Plus: Water Damage - No Power

My girlfriend's iPhone took a swim in saltwater for about 30 seconds. After realizing it was immediately taken out and surprisingly still working. It was not powered off immediately like it should have been. Shortly after it being out of the water it turned itself off. We did not try and power it back on. We got home about four hours later and after doing some research I found that it was best not to let it dry or corrosion could set in. I bathed it in fresh water and unfortunately it decided to try and power on while doing this. The apple logo came on and the screen went on and off about four times before shutting off permanently. I'm afraid that some serious damage was done here. I should have removed the battery before running fresh water over it but I did not plan on going that far at the time. After running fresh water over it the phone started making a sizzling noise and got really hot. I knew I had to get the battery out of there. I quickly looked up the instructions and was able to get the battery disconnected. The sizzling noise immediately stopped. After removing the battery I went to the store to get alcohol and bathed the phone in it. After about 24 hours we tried to power the phone on and it did not work. We connected it to a macbook and iTunes recognised it as an iPhone but said it needed to be updated or restored. We tried update but it did not work and said it needed to be restored. We did not try restoring as we have a lot of photos on there we are concerned about. I let it sit for another two days and now it's completely dead. iTunes doesn't recognise it or anything. Will the phone power on with a bad battery if it is connected with a cable? Could a new battery resolve my issue or is my phone likely dead? I saw no corrosion in the phone but I'm afraid when I ran fresh water over it I short circuited something important. Thoughts?

iPhone 5c: After battery replacement, my phone keeps resetting itself.

A few days ago, my friend dd a battery replacement on my iPhone 5c. The phone is completely up to date and I haven't experienced any issues before this.

After the replacement, the battery lasted for about 4 hours before completely dying. After plugging it in, the phone started rebooting by itself every few minutes. After messaging him about it frantically, he told me that it's just the battery and it's because it's new.

Calming down, I took the phone off of the charger, and it stayed on the same percentage-while functioning okay- for several hours. Knowing that this isn't normal, I restarted my phone, only for it to start doing the weird rebooting thing again.

Last night, after reading from several websites, I let it completely die and charge to 100% all night. When the phone was off, the battery wouldn't charge, so I kept the phone on, opting to just not mess with it.

Today, the rebooting thing has still been happening every few minutes-it's quite frustrating to say the least. For about six hours this afternoon I didn't mess with it at all-and it went from about 100% to 20% in that time span-the percentages jumping up and down a few times.

So here are my questions:

Did I get a faulty battery-is that what's up?
Did my friend just mess up my phone?
What do I do? I can't function on a phone that resets itself every few minutes.

iPhone 7: iPhone 7 Boot Loop Restore did not work

Hi,

I am having issues with my iphone 7, it began in a boot loop, and Apple support told me to restore the problem to fix it. This didn't work and it will constantly sit there rebooting until it dies.

Hi!

I am the only one in the house with this problem - When I go to my room, the wifi-signal on my iPhone disappears. I only have wifi-signal if I am in the room, where the router actually is. If I bring another iPhone or iPad to the room, they still have a good wifi-signal. And no, it has not always been like this. It started like 2 months ago.

I have another problem - the bluetooth-signal is bad as well..

What to do?
