Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller Series 2: Freshly replaced analog stick crazy input.

Hi,

I recently bought a pair of analog stick from Ali.

I successfully replaced the left stick of an Elite 2 controller just a moth ago with no problem. Today, since my other Elite 2 Core had some issue with a wobbly right stick I decided to replace it aswell.

I ended up with a crazy input from that stick.

Could it be a damaged unit, or is more possible that I did something wrong?

To disassemble the faulty analog stick I broke it with pliers, just like I did for the other controller, and I don't i damaged anything in that process.

My only concern is that to remove a pin i struggled a bit and it took a lot of time, so maybe I damaged something overheating it?

Update (10/03/24)

I tested the controller with an online tester and this is what it looks like. I did nothing to the left stick, i replaced only the right one

Here’s the picture, i forgot earlier

The circled connection is the one I struggled the most, and it seems like I deformed a bit the hole (I don’t know the correct terminology 😅)

Xbox Series X Wireless Controller: Antenna Causing XBox Series X/S Controller to Not Work(?)

My Xbox Series X/S controller stopped working and has a weird coil whine when connected with a USB cable. After taking it apart I found that when I disconnect one of the antenna (see Image below), the controller comes back to life, and stops working when I reconnect the antenna cable. Is there a way I can fix the antenna and get the wireless functionality back? Currently I can only use the controller wired. Provided image is the antenna connection that is causing the problem.

Xbox One Wireless Controller Model 1708: Controller doesn't want to work via USB connection

Hello! I’m using my Xbox controller plugged in via USB cable without batteries. Yesterday, it just simply stopped working. It seemed like a driver issue at first, the controller buzzed when plugged into USB port, but was not connected. It also takes power from the USB port and when I’m pressing the middle button it connects via Bluetooth normally. tried reinstalling the drivers, testing 2 other cables and plugging the controller into my laptop. So It doesn’t work with any of my cables or my PC or laptop, it does take the power from the USB but doesn’t connect via USB.

Any ideas on how Can I fix it? I know I technically can use the cable as batteries and connect my controller via Bluetooth, but due to various medical devices I use I would prefer to avoid it.

Have had something stuck under my xbox one controller's left bumper for some time now making it hard to use. Finally decided to open it up to blow it out as I could not get it out while it was closed up. I tried not to mess with anything else bc I know how easy it is to ruin a controller from doing this but once I finished cleaning out left bumper and started to put everything back together, I noticed a very small white piece with a couple of prongs sticking out of its sides had fallen out of my controller and I dont know how it happened or where it came from specifically. It definitely looks like it came out of the circuit board. turned on my controller and my left bumper was fixed and it seems that all the buttons work. But I'm very concerned about this small piece? Can anyone yell me what it is? It's about the size of a grain of rice and a rectangular box shape

Xbox One Wireless Controller 1697: Does anyone make a MicroUSB cable that works well with this controller

I've had this controller for 15 months and for the time I have owned it, I've never used the wireless because the Model 1697 controller only supports IR and USB connectivity. Because I don't own the wireless receiver and these controllers get terrible alkaline battery life, I've always used mine over MicroUSB to avoid having to buy batteries on a regular basis.

While this method works, I've been having a hard time finding a good MicroUSB cable that works well with this controller and doesn't wear out quickly.

The problem with these controllers is the connection is smaller then other MicroUSB connections. I have posted a picture of the connector in the controller for reference: (The Model 1697 controller is a minor refresh from the 1537, and the connector is the same)

Are there any good cable options I should look for that work well with this controller, or is it more or less impossible to find a good one that's 3rd party? The official cable from the Play and Charge kit doesn't work without the battery and doesn't work as a wired cable on the PC. It blocks 5V with the battery or 3.3V without the battery. The PCB in the cable is designed so it only works on the Xbox One console with the battery installed.
